Hi all. I just found out Shanling is releasing an updated version of the H1.2 desktop DAC/Amp. It should retain the typical warmth-tinged, analog-ish Shanling sound and will be hitting stores soon for $649. I haven't heard it yet but am hoping to grab a listen soon, as I've become a big fan of Shanling's sound over the past year in the portable space. My Nighthawks and I are eager to hear what they've been up to in the desktop space.

If anyone out there has heard the new H1.2, please share your impressions in this thread!

And I'd welcome @Shanling to join us and participate by providing more information and answering questions!!!

I'm curious about a couple of things. First, is the front volume pot analog only, or does it control the unit digitally? I'm always looking for something with repeatable output levels (whether digital or stepped attenuation) for mastering. Also is the XLRs output variable, or is there a digital volume control using the remote, etc.? I went to the product page but there's no option to translate to English at this time.
Cheers
