Headphoneus Supremus
Flipping through the newest Audio Advisor catalog this morning, I was struck by how much more they are choosing to use subtle sexual advertising to push their products. I mean, they've always used the one brunette model in some of the photos, at least, but now it's just... well... becoming less subtle.
Here we see her in "oh so natural" listening poses, since we all listen to music either standing up behind our speakers, or sitting down at a 90 degree plane to the center of dispersion, to achieve the most realistic sound stage:
For us headphone lovers, there are some eargasmic photos which grace the pages of Audio Advisor (not to mention the sultry vixen on the cover of the catalog, not pictured here):
Not a "bottom end" type of guy? Do woofers not do it for you? Not to worry! There are plenty of racks to view in the catalog, as well:
And how could subtle sexual advertising be complete without phallic images? I was particularly humored by this one of a man holding his... ummm... cable:
And last, but not least, just in case you ladies out there were starting to get worried, there are one or two male models that can be found (if you search hard enough). For example, Mr. Universe himself donning a pair of PX200:
Now, I'm not saying that this is inappropriate, or anything; I'm no prude. It's just, well... kind of ridiculous, don't you think?
