I know it's "a bit" olt topic, but I bought recently HD445's and they're definetely NOT the same series as 495s. I think they were produced the same time as HD560 Ovation (similar, round design).
They are very light, on ear, and quize comfy. The cable is detachable. I didn't listened them much yet, but they sound quite good!
Tech data and picture from some russian page:
Impendance: 52 Ohms
Distortion: 0,9 %
Rated Power: 200mW
Sensitivity: 94dB
Type: Open
Just rebuilt some and listening today. Using the velour akg pads does change the sound signature but for the better I think. A more pronounced bass with more air and definition from the highs as your ear is kept a bit further away from the driver.
Someone said theyve re-furbished some HD445, where can i get a replacement cable. Ive found earpads on Amazon that shd do the trick, but really struggling to find the cable.
