I sold HD650 to get T1.
 
I would definitely not recommend to sell HD650 to get HD700, I mean HD650 that's just lovely headphone, HD700 is very different in my opinion. I'am buying HD650 again soon, really want to have these two at home.

That's the plan - Bifrost and Lyr again, also thinking about giving shot to WA6. I traded Lyr for HD700, it was pretty crazy trade.

I suppose I would sell the HE-400 over the HD 650... although, I think they both compliment each other very well. Treble on the HE-400 isn't an issue for me, I think the DV3322 tube amp does a nice job of taming them.
 
I'm also building another Crack/Speedball which I've heard drives the HD 700 just as wonderfully as it does the HD 650.

If you really like how laid back HE-400's are than you should think twice about selling them, but other than that I don't think you will miss them if u sell them for HD700.

Hmm, no I don't think so. HD700 is somewhat close to T1 in sound signature and I enjoy HD700 much more, so I guess it's not happening
 
Btw, just took off HD700 and put on Koss Porta Pro out of curiosity, feel like going to 1$ unbranded iPhone earbuds when doing fast switch between these two. Whole soundstage collapsed in itself, detail is gone and I feel like hear 30% of the song.
 
Won't do this again because I like Porta Pro's

I did some EQ testing with Spotify / Equalify and I actually liked +1 db on highs (12, 14, 16 Khz). I have noticed some people complain high trebles with HD700, but I seem to like the opposite. Anybody else out there with this taste?

By high treble people mean 5.5k peak not 12-16k range. Btw when we are talking about EQ this is so far my progress :

This is a matter of taste 100%. I for one wish a bit MORE treble into my HD700s. The famous 'Senneheiser veil' is also present in HD700 but not nearly as much as in HD650 and HD600. I have all of these three.
 
Give the HD700 a good listening and then judge for yourself!
