Could anyone give me an opinion on which is better in comfort, quality and sound isolation between the HD429 and HD439. The only music i listen to is Metal and various sub genres of metal.

The build is pretty much identical, so I assume comfort and isolation would be as well.

The pads will be the difference.  Velour like fabric versus pleather like.  The seal will differ slightly, thus the isolation will differ slightly.  I have the 419 with velour like pads and the isolation is not its strong point.  Nothing is really other than cost, but that's besides the point.  They block out noise better than the Senns I have that are open, but these do a mediocre job compared to my in ears with Comply tips.
