I am looking at the Sennheiser HD 428, manufacturer refurbished for 30 dollars on ebay. Any thoughts on if this is a good deal? (90 day warranty)

It's an excelent deal! Go for it, the HD428 sound just like the HD448. Exquisite midrange on these cans.

HD 428 has more bass than HD 448, the latter being more balanced, more detailed. I agree sounds like an awesome deal.
