Just wondering if there is some that have tried both these headphones, and could enlighten me whether the 25-1-II is worth the extra money over their cousin 25 Sp

The HD 25-SP are a lower quality version of the HD 25-1.
Not as efficient (quieter), and higher impedance.
The HD 25-1 is worth the extra.

I have both and despite the higher cost, I think the HD-25-1's are a better value. The SP's are fine but the HD-25-1's are amazing!
