I'm interested in getting my first pair of good headphones, and after days of research I am looking keenly at the Sennheiser HD 228.
I've seen a lot of posts in this forum regarding that headphone, about how the positioning of the headphones on the ear makes a huge difference and some modification called 'astroid mod' that makes it sound 'brighter'. It was good to know.
But before I splash my hard earned cash on this (worked for a month as a part time waiter at a restaurant, these would cost 35% of my earned money), I'd like to get as much information as possible about this headphones.
I'll be using this mainly for my laptop and iPod Touch, and I've heard that since this headphone is 'Optimised for iPod', that it wouldn't sound as good when plugged into a PC. I'm wondering if this is true.
I'd also appreciate it if any of you would post your review and opinion on this pair of headphone if you have any experience with it. I'm a bass head that listens to guitar, bass and drums based music, and a bit of instrumental classical music.
