Which to get? The EX71 or the PX200? hmmmm.... I want something very portable like the EX71, but if they're going to sound horrible, I'd rather get the nice sound of the PX200's. I use an MZ-S1, which is pretty darn flat and doesn't have much bass unless you activate bass boost 1 (BB2 blasts you to the kingdom come).

be warned, ecost did charge me $4 for "handling" when I bouight the EX71's. Free ground shipping though...

in comparison Amazon has them for $45 with free shipping

dont get the ex71, they sound terrible. i've used a netmd minidisc too. with the px200 you can turn on bass1 and it'll be perfect.

I've owned the PX100 and P200 in the past, and while its "OK" it's no holy grail either. for one thing, its a helluva lot bigger than earbud style, like EX71 or MX500's , etc. Quite a bit easier to stuff buds and an iPod in one jeans pocket. So, we're talking different utility here. PX200's are good to throw in a backpack but not for pocketing. I just got the EX71's today, and they too boomy for sure, but they should be OK for the gym. I turned Bass Reducer on iPod and its a little better. Still the boominess is somewhat fatiguing. Etymotics are miles ahead, but just too exotic for the gym, tried once, made me feel like a weirdo.

I just recieved my PX200's from ecost. THEY ARE BRAND NEW, no refurbs. I love them, work great for walking to class. nice sound, it is improving over the first time i listened to them.
