Does that funky smell ever go away?

I don't know what it is. I just got my 600s, and they have this weird smell to them.

yeah Mine smelled horrible when i got em i fabreezed the case and let it air out but the phone you just have to wear it will go away in a day or so.

Are they new? If they are, then the smell will most likely go away in a couple of days. However, I didn't have any problems like this with my new HD650s.

I just got a brand new pair of 600's and they have absolutely no smell at all.

You could try washing them of course...

Huh? I didn't notice a smell from either pair. Try leaving the case open and let them air out for a few days.

It smells like a manufacturer smell, not like a "person smell" or cologne or anything.

I've had them outside for the past hour or so and they seem better already, so I think it will probably go away in a day or two. If they don't air out I might try washing them, thanks for the link HotPixel.

Mine smelled a bit like plastic when they were new, but it went away in a day or so of being out on my headphone stand

You mean the part with the cup doesn't go over your nose?

It's definitely some kind of weird hybrid petro-plastic smell. The box with the foam in it really stinks. mmmmm, VOCs.
