I currently own the A5's and pretty happy with it but I found the P4 at a very good price. I'm planning to get it for my turntable but I'm wondering which is the better speaker for my desktop? I have a vintage Kenwood KR 6600/6060 that I will be using with my P4 and it is fairly close to my computer so I won't have any problems. With the P4 am I downgrading in sq or not?

Is the P4(I need passives) unmatched at let's say $130?

Check out some of the PartsExpress kits. I recently built a pair of Overnight Sensations MT for $130. The kit comes with knock down cabinets and all the components you need except binding posts. All you need to do is solder the crossover and put the cabinets together with some wood glue. I'm powering them off a Parasound Z-amp right now. Unbeatable value for the price IMO.

It's a steal at $130 since you already have the power for it, imo. The a5 has a fuller sound than the p4 though and you have to consider how much you'd be able to get out of the a5.
