I have e10 with 990 and might be upgrading to the HE-400 by next Christmas probably!

Which one will drive the 990 and the HE-400 (or HD 650) the best? Keep price range in mind, although shipping the Schiit is like $36 to Canada.

I much prefer the looks of the Schiit but the SQ is more of a priority.

I would choose O2+ODAC combo because it sounds absolutely neutral and not sounded and I don't believe in the technical quality of Schiit products.I know many people which are not really happy with e.g. Lyr.

I have the O2 and really am impressed with it. For the money it is excellent.

I've never heard it, but the Vali output impedance is higher at 6.5.ohms and may not play well with IEMs. The Valhalla at 30 ohms made the bass of my SM64 a mushy mess (and they have higher impedance than most IEMs). In contrast the bass is clean and tight with my Asgard 2. The O2, Asgard 2, and Magni all have an output impedance of 1 or less.

On the other hand the Valhalla sounded great with the full sized Beyer T90 (250 ohms) - nicer than the Asgard 2.
