Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I gave up on Fords decades ago, as well as some GM cars. I had a Chrysler 300 on lease that I loved but buyout was too high.
When I was working I purchased my cars and drove them into the ground. When I retired I started leasing and never looked back. No more maintenance costs, no more worries about what might break next.

Something new every two or three years. What's not to like.

I feel like I should spend a bunch of money just to fit in. All new flooring in the upstairs and stairways it will be. I will turn my wife loose tomorrow and duck and cover till all is done.🤪
... no mega-extension on the pottery shed?

lol I paid $7k for a kiln, added climate control, and designed her sound system. I am hoping to avoid upgrades for a while. 🤪 Finnegan uses it for his home away from home. IMG_7749.jpeg

Bottled In Bond refers to U.S. government regulations ... and without ... tobacco spit - a real problem of that era!)

...
Thank you. And the opposite as I did not need that mental image. Is tobacco spit likely to occur in any other beverage?

I strongly believe that manufacturers are aiming for the most aerodynamic shape to keep MPG high. That means all vehicles are gradually approaching the same shape.
When I worked for Computervision in the '80s, the company that invented CAD/CAM, a big concern for the automotive customers was that the software would end up making all the cars look the same. I think that fear revived the use of clay models.

My Valiant Slant Six was pretty cool in its day...
.
I got a used TOTL Valiant, don't remember the age, in '84. Fun, fun car. As a newbie driver I didn't appreciate it.
The engine cracked so I left it in a junk yard. Should have dropped a new one into it... ;-(

.... Perhaps a Vali 3 will make me feel better. 😁
.... it certainly will. With the WE JW2C51 tube, and driving ZMF Verite Closed, Vali 3 rids ennui etc.

During this album, Vali 3 has given me numerous "I am there!" moments.

[Steeplechase: recorded March, 1975; released October, 1975.] This is one of Dex' finest outings with his best quartet: a studio recording with club energy!

Thank you for this. Those cannons are quite stunning!

I need to do a thunderdome between the cannons from Master and Commander, Pirates of the Caribbean and this 1812 :-D

The cherry on top for my speaker rig would be an Urd, but that will have to wait now that we've dropped $7K on an engine replacement at 50,000 miles. ☹️
Dude... check your oil more often!

Genesis' "A Trick of the Tail" on yellow vinyl

Dead silent LP surface, and a really great recording. Highly recommended!!!

I cannot imagine too many people liking this manner of classical,
Not many, but quality makes up for quantity  Back when I taught intro computer science, I would play a different music track at the start of each lecture for that period when the kids are shuffling in. Traditionally, I would play the following for the lecture just before Halloween
