Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I stopped by the Schiitr this afternoon, after a 300 mile drive, to listen to several products. Will was very helpful, connecting and disconnecting components. I took well known CDs to cover voice, piano, classical orchestra and a jazz combo (Jazz at the Pawnshop) to play in the Urd. Let’s just say I liked what I heard.

My item count is not limited by desire or cost but by space. My wife draws the line at getting a bigger house
I have room at my house for your Tyrs, if that works for you :-D

Ditto, and that's after I sold a bunch of unused stuff a little while back.
I sold some stuff out this week. Accidently bought some HE6SE V2 on the classifieds.... Let's see if the Jot 2 can drive them.

I still have space but I am pretty selective on what I buy and build.🤪

[Picard]Make it so.[/Picard]

I was lucky to see Genesis in their early days with Gabriel as lead singer, and then again with Collins.
Both were great gigs.
I have loads of Genesis albums and think that ‘Then There Were Three…’ is under rated.

While I never able to see Genesis I did drive down Saturday to see Peter Gabriel at the United Center in Chicago. That is after visiting a few record stores.

Fantastic show and a good mix of his old and new material. His voice also sounded really good!

I decided I had too many headphone amps (3), so this afternoon I listened to them to try to reduce it down to one, my reasoning being I only listen to headphones in one room, and so only need one amp.
After a couple of hours comparing them I still have three. They all sound great.
Is it possible to have too much gear?
Absolutely. If you'd seen some of the pictures I've seen from vintage stereo pages, you'd not ask that question. Literally, speakers stacked 3 high. Multiple (4 or sometimes more) receivers. Six reel to reel players and on and on. Organized hoarding.

I presume a Saga S in passive mode would not work as a switch.

I guess I was too specific. I want a Saga "sized device" switch.

Verrrrrrry random and quite late even for the West Coast, but I've always had an affinity for this Springsteen album, 'Devils and Dust', having owned the CD/DVD DualDisc since the album's release in 2005. I am not naturally a Springsteen fan but the rather alarming intimacy of this album, and the gorgeous recording quality, has always been a draw. I can recall upon the album's release a local radio station wanting to feature the entire album but were obviously conflicted with the frankly adult subject matter of the track 'Reno': That they ultimately decided to play back the album in its entirety with strong warnings made a massive impression on me, that of art over subject matter. And this is one artistic and brilliant album, front to back.

Strongly related to tonight's experience: The Final Audio E5000 IEM's are freaking GREAT!!!!!!!!
