Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

No way, I was literally listening to Herbie's Cantaloupe Island on that Qobuz playlist as I read your post!
I recall that music lol. I keep looking for compilations on Qobuz so I hear a variety of music with particular tubes. 🤪🤪 Much of that music was recorded when I was 14 and had my first tube audio system so I knew @adydula might relate because we are close in age. Mid sixties to mid seventies produced amazing music in several genres.😁

Still never listened to Daft Punk. Lol! Same problem as you! So many directions! That Ripper guy is pretty fun! I love that you just listened to Days of Future Passed! Lately, been Tangerine Dream.... you name it!
Daft Punk is fun and can test an audio system IMHO. 😁 But who am I to make suggestions, listen to what you like. Some music I enjoy reminds me of specific periods in my life and often it is the words more than the music.

I will try it. Dang it! Streaming! What do you use? I don't have Apple
I use Qobuz, Tidal also has a great selection but I like the SQ a bit better with Q. Today I listened to several Qobuz compilations. Songs from specific years or songs pertaining to the sun or rain. A nice break for me.🤪

Thanks Tom. I'm going to bed via the Golf Channel. FYI. There was a set of those speakers Bowmoreman has on sale here in Seattle area on Craigslist for 2K. Think it's a good deal. In love with my K horns, or I would look at them. Sweet dreams!
Bed for me as well and I will read Kafka on the Shore till I doze off. No music or TV for me late at night, only literature.🤪

• Vali 3, while puttin' on the ritz in its mod duds, is sounding glorious via Brimar CV4003 (a 12AU7 tube):

I like the idea of an ultimate Syn that seamlessly adds-on to Kara! (Or the upcoming uber pre, whose name escapes me as coffee not yet kicked in)…
...
Schiit needs to get into a design aesthetic of transformer like components

It's a preamp, but throw this switch here, flip that toggle there, place this on top and it's a Sol!

The very last tube I listened to before dinner. You may well have given me some of those and regardless of any word play you are one of the people I truly appreciate, always know that.😁

I missed the last offering of the RSL as I was on vacation. Considering Cambridge Audio Minx X201 since it also has a line out and that is my use case. (Lyr 3 to sub, sub to Gjallarhorn)

Do the Starkes have a line out? hard to tell on the website
I have a CA Minx X300(?). I would pass on that, it's not powerful enough nor does it go deep enough. I guess nearfield it would be OK. (if you still want one I'll sell you mine for a good price).

I don't think the Starkes have line outs.

OTOH, my old SVS SB1000 has high level inputs and that might work for you; I'm using it kind of biwired. That thing is a beast but not very refined.

The Outlaw M8 also has high level in/outs and is also a beast. Not tried it for music but I expect it's also not very refined.
(edit, I did try the M8 for music, it's kind of why I got started "collecting" (yeah, sure) subwoofers, trying to find something decent).

... As usual, I'm always glad to help. 🤣 🤣
Should one take that to mean that you should receive the first shipment and pass judgement before the rest of us sully our palates?

I just have to post this short film from the excellent BMW series called 'The Hire' starring Clive Owen. Watch until the end for a very special cameo of a thread favorite character.

Well, you certainly can but if it is your intent to strike fear into the hearts of others, I think it may be falling short of the mark. :D

We live a block for a greenbelt and have bobcats and coyotes visiting us often in the early AM and evenings. They would make a meal out of our chihuahua, GiGi.
From our dining room window, this past Saturday. Good thing Mom likes foxes!
