I have a Sansa Clip+ 8GB (inlc Denon C710 phones) coming my way next week and was wondering how to use it with my Mac/iTunes.

I currently have an 8GB iPod and use iTunes with its smart playlists to cycle through my 30GB music library. I understand that the Clip will not be recognised by iTunes but it will show up on my desktop as an external drive and I can then drag and drop mp3 files onto it. Is this from my music folder or can I drag straight from the iTunes window? Is there a way to update my playcounts/date played info in my library in a way that I can still cycle bit by bit through my library.

On the Sandisk forum I found a script someone wrote for exporting playlists from iTunes to the Clip...is anyone using this? Or should I ditch iTunes and use other mediaplayer?

Thanks.

I strongly believe you can drag and drop from iTunes itself.
At least iTunes perfectly fine allow me to drag and drop single songs or complete albums to any folder on my computer. Does not seem to work for playlists though.
