wow... i had no idea he had been still alive! a great author, RIP.
i've read a few of his books (still not Solaris, since i'd read he didn't like the current english translation) and always found them fascinating and unique, almost like Gogol... had Gogol been well-adjusted and forward thinking.
have you read any of the english translations? which would you recommend as the best?

Didn't know he was still alive, either. Been meaning to read more of his stuff for years.
