Exactly what I thought... Oh and it's the Z2 if this is any better.

Not really. They already have plenty of bass... They don't really need any more.

Bass ports all the way open + Z2 at max bass. Will it liquefy your brain? Someone needs to find out, for science

Anyone is willing to send their gear to rinchoi.blogspot.com.au for testing?  :D

Let the FR graph war begin :-\
I have nothing against FR graphs, but they almost always produce quiet a few pages only consisting of rants and the same discussions over and over again.

Bring on the FR graphs, I say! That's a sure way for this thread to reach 100 pages before the official start of summer (in 7 days, 21st June); if it's a FR graph by Rin, however, reaching 500 pages by 21st June is absolutely guaranteed.

It's quite an intense experience with the ports fully open. The bass gets to the point where it makes the treble all but disappear. The impact hurts my ears too. I've never seen any other iem that can transform so much.

Looking forward to testing that out myself, personally

The escalade slope? I wonder what the f(x) would be...

Lol yea + the ZO2 on Max. I imagine if you stood at the top, you could see the curvature of the earth.
[rule]

So my ASG-1 is on its way to Nashville... Won't be long now. :D

Sweet.

I think you'll be fairly surprised, coming from the 1.1. The 1.0/1.1 to 1.2 upgrade was pretty drastic. For anyone who's heard the 1.2, the ASG-2 will sound like the natural upgrade. For 1.1 lovers, it will be a slight adjustment.

Any plans on comparing the ASG-2 against the T-PEOS H-200? It would be interesting to see how these two hybrid IEM compare against each other.

I posted first impressions in the H-200 thread just now. I'll be adding a full comparison when I get my ASG-2 back.

Just a small observation - since Aurisonics generally caters to pro audio wouldn't the bass port be mostly used for live playing situations (ie. high degree of ambient noise?)

I've found that the louder an environment I'm in, the leaner/plinkier whatever I'm listening to becomes.  I can see being on stage in a 100+ db environment that it may aid in being able to hear the bass guitar do its thing.  I imagine a better isolating custom monitor doesn't have as much of an issue.

That would make me wonder how safe it is to use such an IEM on a live stage where it seems like the performer are not aware of the high bass output which seem to cause ear pain on normal listening level.
