I don't like to issue quick responses after listening but I would definitely agree.  The combination is not treble harsh at all, its more revealing than the NFB-2, more towards neutral than warmth of the NFB-2's design.
 
Goes well with the lyr and LCD-2's.
 
Probably not so much with headphones that scream for a darkness, wouldnt say its bright.  Just more faithful.
