How can I reset Windows Explorer (XP) to defaults? I'm missing the address bar and icons.

Under View/Toolbars, I can turn Address Bar, and Standard Buttons, etc.. on or off, like Rhinosaur said.

Under View, I can choose Icons, List , or Details for the Folder Window

When I have the view the way I want it, I go to Tools/Folder Options/View, I select -Apply to All Folders- button.

Works for me in XP SP3 the same way as in SP2.

have you recently updated to sp3?

Nope been on SP3 for a while. It displays the default with the icons when I click on a shared network drive, but when I press windows and e it opens up like the one in the first post.

I'm not at home and my laptop has Vista, but try running gpedit.msc from the start/run menu and check the user configuration.
