In a couple of weeks I will be receiving the Beyerdynamic DT 990 (05, 250 Ohm). I have been looking for a nice (European) amp for it and the most interesting desktop amps (in my budget, that is €250) seem to be the Corda Arrieta and the Rega Ear. I hear lots of good words here about the Corda products, but I'm a little afraid that they will sound too neutral (maybe a tad too analytical?) for me. The reason I chose the DT 990 is to avoid neutrality. So maybe the Rega Ear will suit best with this headphone. Can anyone confirm this or give his/her impressions on the Rega?

The pre-2000 Rega Ear was very analytical. It was a great amp for the money. I imagine the new line of Rega Ear isn't too different.

Maybe you could find a used Headfive -- not terribly analytical like other Meier amps are known to be. A "lush" sound that approaches tubes I'd say.
