Hi All,     I'm looking for recommendations on how much power is required to drive Senn HD650's, which, as most of you probably already know, is rated at 300ohm nominal impedance.  I like listening to a pretty eclectic range of jazz, rock and symphonic, but typically listen at fairly loud volumes.  I'm just starting to shop for integrated DAC/Amp combos and do not really understand the relationship between output power and impedance ohms.  One of the amps I'm considering has 1.5 watts of headphone output at 32ohms.  Another has 4 watts at 8 ohms.  Yet another has 900mwatts @ 300 ohms.
 
Can recommend approximately how much wattage I should need, at XX ohms, to nicely drive these HD650's to good volume levels ... ???

Well I have had the NuForce HDP for a while and it works well with the HD650, though I think it deserves something better. Burson also have a few models that may suit you.

Matrix M-Stage sounds great with any Sennheiser.
