Hello, I think i posted in the wrong forum so I thought i'd transfer it here.

The jist... I have a Marantz TA170AV receiver that has recently died (right channel is static and left channel comes in and out). I have checked all cables and components and found that it is the Receiver. I want to use the original speakers that came with the Marantz but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I need to look for in a PowerAmp. I am thinking about the Audiosource AMP-100 since it is cheap and has gotten decent reviews but I am concerned that it will not be able to power the speakers adequately since the Marantz is rated at 170watts per channel. There are no specs written on the speakers. Ideally, I'd like to spend between $100-200.

Thanks, I had to resort to the generic iMac internal speakers and its driving me nuts until i can get this fixed.
