The earcups and cable for my A500s have been torn up pretty badly over the years, so I figured I might as well do everything over.
However, I'm a bit confused upon opening them up. This is a single entry style, this is the inside of the left earcup (click for big).
The black jacketed wire runs over to the right earcup.
Pads 1/2, 3/4, and 5/6 (from left) are connected.
Pads 1/2 - blue wire, comes from from the main cable (left earcup)
Pads 3/4 - 1 wire to main cable, 1 wire goes to right earcup
Pads 5/6 - 1 wire to main cable, 1 wire goes to right earcup
Why are the left/right earcups connected to the same pads here? What is the blue wire doing?
