So, I was wondering if you guys knew the differences between these and which ones would be the best. Right now I'm kind of leaning towards the Ultralinks because I like AV123, but let me know otherwise, thanks.

Ultralink/XLO Matrix Series interconnects

Two monster cables

Monster StereoLink 3.5mm jack to RCA home/car stereo - eBay (item 280311344447 end time Mar-09-09 21:39:04 PDT)
(These I can get for $13 shipped)

Not sure if getting the more expensive alternatives would matter that much, maybe some of you professionals would know better.

I never tried any of the cables you mentioned but i have a couple of mini-to-rca and these that i have are very good:

Zu Pivot, iChord(from Chord Company) Custom IC3 from AudioArt.

I also have a mini-1(Audioquest) but i much prefer the rest.
Alot of companys also do custom mini-to-rca, u just have to ask around.

Hope that helps.

Absolutely do not go with Monster. I bought a cheap Monster "THX" line mini->RCA plug a long time ago. I wish I didn't:

1. The metal used in the 3.5" plug was so cheap that it got severly bent over time. I'm scared to use it with anything expensive now.

2. They claimed it was shieled. It might have been, but whatever it was shielded with was absolute crap. The cable I replaced it with went a long way to solving a radio pickup problem I had with the amp I plugged it into.

From the look of that eBay auction, the 3.5mm jack is even worse constructed than the one on their THX line. Avoid.

Have contacted him, but no response yet.

Heard a lot of good things about BJC, seems like a good route. Any other alternate brands at this price?
I saw this suggestion in a headphone cable thread, but I'm guessing connecting these to speakers would be just as good...

Whats the difference between these (copper?) cables and "silver" cables?

Copper should sound natural and solid with a nice base. Silver tends to be bright and detailed and light in the bass department.
