From what I've read on their website, the dedicated psu pumps out 12v.
On the other hand, the battery compartment takes 2 x 9v batteries , since it runs for 40 hours , i would assume that it runs the 2 batteries in parrallel into 9v .
Is there going to be any sonic difference between the two ?? SQ wise?? or just volume differnces??

XP-7 runs on 2 nine volts batteries. The batteries are wired as +/- nine volts. total of 18 volts.
The power supply runs on +/- 12 volts, total of 24 volts.
