Started with a $19 guitar (gift from his sister) and in 1998 got a grammy for a lifetime achievement award. He and Chuck Berry were the founding fathers of Rock & Roll.

One of the founders of Rock n Roll, and a huge influence on everyone from the Beatles to the Stones to the Smiths. A giant of the electric guitar. And like many of the early rockers, he recieved exactly zero royalties for his groundbreaking recordings.
