Would 22-gauge, 2 conductor, radioshack speaker wire be a big step up from say the wire used on the ksc75? Or would it be a waste of time to try and use? Or would it even work?

Dont use that wire on it.
I had good luck using cat5 cable on my ksc75.
Bass was tighter, and it sounds better.
Try that. Its cheap and sounds better.
I used all the wires in it, so its doubled up.

I guess i suffer from some sort of fantasy complex or something and imagined the bass was tighter? :O

I forgot....everything sounds exactly the same, because everything was made to be neutral.

Sorry, but I'd rather you didn't bring that into this thread, it's been discussed enough. If you don't think cables make a difference, fine, stay out of the cable section

Good to know, guess I'll skip it. It's cheap it was like 100 feet for $14 bucks
