I have had a set of PSB's M4U2 headphones, and have quite liked them. I recently paired them with an EarStudio ES100 Bluetooth receiver/amp. This unit has a balanced 2.5mm output, which got me to thinking. The M4U2's have 2 3.5mm inputs (one underneath either ear cup). Would it be possible to use a balanced 2.5mm to dual 3.5mm cable and plug either 3.5mm end to both of these (something like these: https://www.amazon.com/Connector-Beyerdynamic-Headphone-Replacement-Cable/dp/B0798S7GVG )?

I've tried to do research here and on the web to find out more details to see if there would be electrical problems, but haven't had much luck.

Upon closer inspection, the cables provided by PSB are 4 pin TRRS. Should it possible to use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Balanced-Female-Hi-end-Headphone-Adapter/dp/B072SWWZJ9 ?
