Thanks for Spook76 for recommending Astra. Gave the some The Weirding a listen and definitely going to have to buy both their albums from Amazon. They are make the kind of Floydish music I love.

That was a pretty sweet year in review. I had nowhere near enough time to discover all those bands this year, but hopefully next year will slow down a little bit. In the meantime, I'm going to take multiple suggestions and gives the latest Neal Morse band a serious lesson. This was put me over the edge, and I just ordered the disk from Amazon. I also listen to a track, "so far gone" on YouTube. Is it possible to have an album of the year with only two weeks left in the year? It just might…

I'm really looking forward to everybody on this thread posting their albums of the year, if so inclined. I begin to remind a lot of thought, and I have a feeling I'm not the only one!

:)

Thanks for posting that. Damn, there's a lot of prog that I'm not familiar with that I need to get familiar with!

Here's a great 70's band from Quebec - Maneige..
