Path tracing for Cyberpunk just dropped, and looks to be a pretty huge upgrade over the basic ray tracing. On an RTX 3080ti it's just barely playable with balanced DLSS, but its steep requirements are pretty justified; it's miles beyond any other implementation of ray tracing.

This ray tracing, in fact, is so demanding that without enough v-ram ray tracing doesn't appear in photo mode.

Yes! We just released Patch 1.62. It is hardware agnostic so it should run on any platform, but with whole honesty, it is really really Performance heavy. The reason for it is that it is a very complex and proper way of rendering, very similar to the one used in last 10-12 years in Film VFX or Animated features. It is a glimpse of the future for the majority but we also added a Photo Mode Overdrive mode, that allows You to make Path Tracing screenshots even on less powerful PC's if You provide enough VRAM ( * GB minimum ) and is RT capable.

Thank You for posting!!

Playing Far Cry 6. I was a little annoyed that this only supports FSR 1.0, but after getting into game it's clear upscaling isn't needed. Even with ray tracing, it's super easy to run.

It looks super nice, too. It basically looks like how people imagine the first Crysis looks. lol

One thing that's really irksome about the game is how it handles cut scenes on an ultrawide. It has both letter boxing and pillar boxing.

Another assortment of screens. Despite it looking so damned good, and without any sort of upscaling, I'm getting like 90FPS+.

I gotta give props to Ubisoft for being one of the few modern developers that gives a damn about how water looks. I remember back when shaders first became a thing everybody wanted to make the most realistic looking water they could. At some point since then developers just stopped caring about it. Even Cyberpunk's water looks like junk.

This actually has ripples and a three-dimensional look, while still having nice reflections.

Tower Defence for Android defending over 2200 waves of attack, an Idle game. That image does not convey the hectic activity going on...

I just nutted. lol. I recently got t 4070ti rig and trying out Cyberpunk in the highest settings. It's more refined in terms of visuals. Still, I bet the gameplay sucks. third person games are so 2000s

Playing Cyberpunk again, I noticed they changed the photo mode output screenshots. It seems now they render the scene in higher resolution than the native one. It makes fine detail like hair and eyelashes and the like much cleaner.
