Ghost Corn Returns is a great photo. I love the technique you used on that one. I might try someting like that if the wind would ever stop blowing around here.

Actually there is a whole pictoral genre of gritty industrial imagry, often cast in contrast to the beauty of nature or containing dichotomous subject matter. Your picture is superb. Can you link a 1600x1200/high res version?

It took the liberty of rotating it CC about 4 degrees, cropped, increased the saturation about 35% and now have a wonderful new desktop picture.

. That one just made me feel like I was on a different planet, which is nearly true since you're standing on top of a 10,000ft. tall mountain that runs right down to the ocean. Hawaii is a pretty easy place to look like a superstar - everytime you turn around you're looking at something like this:

That's a 50' tall waterfall that literall empties into the ocean. If you turn 180deg. you're looking out over blue water - IIRC it's called the blue pool.
