Very impressive, particularly halfdome2 and horsies. That's the sort of thing I actually pay money for. Good shots!
I haven't done anything of the variety that I can post here for some months now (release legality reasons), although I intend to correct that soon. I don't have a camera at present either, since I sold my D90 and pre-ordered a D7000 (which I am now fervently hoping gets here by the first week of November, which is when I'll need it). However, I'll find something old to justify the post.
Something cute:
Also serves as a demonstration that the bokeh on the 18-200 VRII isn't the best. I would have probably gotten a better result with the 70-200, but this was taken on a vacation.
Last night many young adults fell into trance and started walking the streets. This has never happened as is seen as a sign of a large world event about to take place. All the ladies had this strange gate with hands on hips and making animal sounds. This girls just put out a handful of burning incence in her mouth and put out another handful on her chest. People and police are arriving from all over as it is said that things like this will take place over many days. I am leaving now to see if it is starting again.
Cannot remember on each one. Generally speaking, 4-6 vertical shots are sufficient for the view. The SMC takumar is fantastic. I think i can almost live with one lens, the 50mm, and stitch shots whenever I need a larger FOV. However, the horses and the clark shot are done by 200mm shots, another SMC Takumar. So, sometimes that reach is needed, as well as compression effect.
That's fantastic! I also have a 200mm Super Takumar (non multicoated, admittedly). Love both of 'em. Use the 50mm for nearly everything, including the fog shot. I take the 200mm out for sporting events mostly. Maybe I should pack that 200mm in my bag more often and try something else with it...
