Poor nierika's thread got thread-crapped more than I've ever seen a thread tread-crapped in my life

I have a kick ass camera. If only I was earlier than #186! Sorry to add to the "picless" replies. My new wallpaper is the only in focus pic of the HF-1s. Man am I nerdy

beyer headband mod
You can get them direct from Beyer 1-800-293-4463 push #3 (sales) and then #14 (or other sales rep) and ask for part #340.502 Headband Pad (for DT770 Pro). $ 9.17 ups

While it's a more comfortable alternative, I'd like to preserve the vintage Grado look. I'm thinking about having Larry recable mine, but the leather headband is one thing I really want. The Beyer headband, while nice, is just out of the question

edit: These are shipping with the bowl pads correct? What's the general concensus on the flat pads, I'm thinking of ordering a set from Todd. I remember them being fairly comfortable when I tried out some SR-225's at the Pittsburgh meet...

Hah, actually I am, but I was still reading the other thread and it put me off on taking pictures, so I'm listening to them at the moment, but I'll take some pictures here in a little bit, I'll whip out the good camera.

Thanks Guff! Might I respectfully request three pictures?

1) Pads off, facing driver.
2) Pads off, side shot so we can see how far the wood extends past the plastic, if at all.
3) Pads off, shot of the # on your can (written on the wooden housing?)

These are the three most requested pics since, oh, 10 hours ago

Thank you greatly!

"Ugh, that plastic headband just kills me..."

I couldn't agree more. . . . .Grado needs to offer a leather headband, possibly optional at a additional extra fee for those that want it. In the same fashion that Beyer is going to have customization. It sure would make the HF-1's a whole lot cooler looking!

I know! I really want a leather headband, and I have no clue where to get them, since Grado doesn't sell them anymore. But that plastic really irks me...

It might just be me, but I don't really "feel and notice" the Grado's headband on my head...i mean it doesn't add any comfort or discomfort.
