Today I tried listened to my years old Panasonic SL-CT790 by Headphile recabled and wooded SR225 driven by Little Dot Micro+. God! This combo sounds so good. The Panasonic is not a good sounding PCDP, but the synergy in this combo is noteworthy. Without LDM+ the sound appears thin, dry, and lack of dynamic. If I use HD650/Grace52 instead of headphiled SR225s the sound is dark and boring. But, I put Panasonic with LDM+ and Headphiled SR225s, the outcome is magic. The CD I am listening is Ein Straussfest from Telarc. The sound is so clear, and full of details. Even the ring bell sounds so real. Kind of wondering if I use this combo to listen to Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture, how the cannon sounds like. It is definitely a great portable combo.
