i have the fiio, got bored and plugged it into the line out on my X5L instead of my D10(before i got my iriver) sounded worst then just out of the the X5... quiet a bit darker then with no amp from the X5L(with my IE8s) the fiio isn't worth the effort of more cable and worry about charging it unless ur using a headphone that requires more power...
