Didn't you buy ESW9 already? Personally, I think you'll like ESW9 if you find that IEMs irritate you. Apparently ESW9 is very comfortable - it is small, lightweight and has lambskin earpads.

I was thinking of getting a pair of these myself. One thing to remember though is that ESW9 won't isolate quite as well as IE8, so they might not work for use in noisy places, like the subway and busy streets.

Personally, I haven't listened to the IE8's but I love the sound and the feel of the ESW9's.

IE8 is bassy, ESW9 is pretty neutral~ I like ESW9 for relaxing musics and IE8 for pumping the dumbbells~

i own both... but i gotta tell you...
ESW9... this baby's a real looker with great sound

sadly noise isolation isnt as good as ie8...

but if you don mind it (like me)
ESW9 for you

how are esw9's in terms of isolation vs other full sized such as the 780 or hd25-1? enough to keep transit noise out/music in that it doesn't bother someone sitting a foot away?
