New Year. New Look. New Sound.

We are very excited to introduce two major releases to start off 2019!

Redesigned custom cables for 2019: PS connectors and PS terminations on selected cable series will now feature accents, replacing heatshrinks all together, that can not only indicate L/R channels, but serve as strain relief to further improve cable durability. With this addition, cables will be sleeker and durable than ever! Available in gold, silver, blue, red, rose gold, and black.

New [flagship] sound: After several months of development, we are pleased to present Tri-Silver - the first of its kind to feature pure silver, gold plated silver, and palladium plated silver in one wire. Featuring UPOCC type 6 litz design, enamel coated strands, cryo treatment, and proprietary PS insulation, Tri-Silver provides remarkable clarity and detail to create one of the best musical experiences possible.

Both releases are available to order starting today! Visit our website at www.plussoundaudio.com to learn more and view options.

Still no option for right angled 3.5mm? I currently have 2 PS cables and I like that the connectors are so beefy, but it isn’t ideal for portable use.

If your cable is terminated with 2.5mm balanced connection, you can use adaptors for different sources (so you future-proof your connection for 2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.4mm, etc). Then, you can use PS right angled 3.5mm adaptor

If you're looking for right angled 3.5mm on your main cable, we do offer Oyaide gold and rhodium plated right angled 3.5mm plugs on our website.

I prefer not to use adapters when going portable, but that is a nice set of adapters...

Love the new custom connectors/terminations. It still has that unmistakable classic PlusSound look with the same secure grip, but now without a heatshrink.

Any hope for a future Bluetooth 5.0 cable? Maybe with aptX HD and/or LDAC?

Very cute plugs but what does "high conductive copper based contacts" actually mean please? Phosphor Bronze? Brass? CuZn39Pb3 to be exact?

I'm sure you're well aware of all infos mentioned in this page so more technical infos would certainly help please: https://www.bluesea.com/resources/108/Electrical_Conductivity_of_Materials/
One might easily assume that alloys such as the brasses and bronzes, because they are mainly copper, are nearly as conductive as copper. This is not the case. The small percentages of tin, aluminum, nickel, zinc and phosphorus that make up these alloys degrade the electrical performance of the resulting alloy to a far greater percentage than their compositional percentage in the alloy.

Not in the near future, but definitely at some point we will look into it.

I'm sorry if my question seemed disruptive but I personally crave brass 2.5mm mono plugs, only these ppl claim to have them but they only sell by the thousand and don't look trustworthy: https://www.aecconnectors.com.tw/en/product-185046/AUDIO-PLUG-AP2-5-270MBCG-Mono-4-0-Ro.html

Any chance you could sort this out please? cryo'ed 28% IACS CuZn39Pb3 would rule as I guess pure copper is too soft for such a small plug.

For inquiries, please email us at sales@plussoundaudio.com. Thank you.

Headfonics has reviewed the 2019 redesigned X8 cable featuring our new Tri-Silver wire and given it the highest rating ever on any cable and one of the highest rated products overall on the site!

The following are excerpts from the review written by Marcus Downey.

On aesthetics: “Right away, I need to say that the Tri-Silver aesthetics and build quality are perhaps the best I have ever seen on any cable to date.”

On sound: “The bottom line is that the Tri-Silver is an incredibly detailed, engaging, but also a relatively neutral sounding cable. This is a cable that really focuses on staging capability, teasing out a really holographic presentation with a tuning that shies away from too coloring the sound with much treble sparkle or low-end girth.”

Linus from Headfonia has published his take on the redesigned 2019 Exo Series cable with Tri-Silver Type 6 Litz wires!

In regards to sound: “The Tri-Silver is the first product to combine three different types of silver wires in one cable. Its sonic characteristics make way to pair well with pretty much any type of monitor out there. It offers a fine tuned balance, with wonderful imaging and resolution. The Tri’s midrange excels in smoothness and brings a nice organic sound to the treble.”

In regards to build quality: “I have always thought of their build quality to be one of the very best in the industry, but with the new hardware, PlusSound definitely sets the bar for all manufacturers.”
