I believe I have narrowed my choices down to the following
Shure 440 or 840
AT M50
Beyer 770 pro 80
I will use these at work with ALAC files from an iPad without an amp for now, but I am open to that in the future.
I do travel from time to time and isolation from outside noise is important to me.
Besides SQ I would also say that isolation is very high on my list too
My music preferences would be heavy on classic rock but I also listen to a lot of older jazz too
Pink Floyd, Eagles, Stones, Deep Purple, Led Zep, CSN&Y
Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, Sinatra
I will be able to audition these this weekend so I know that SQ is best left up too me but does anyone Have any experiences with how good the isolation is on these phones?
