Lucky guy! A true high-end player in my opinion. forgetting the 20 bit decoder, it used 2 DAC chips PER CHANNEL!!!! That's 4 DAC chips in total. 8x oversampling as well. I liked the fixed and variable analogue output, which is something I have come to find useful on my current main DAC, the TC-7510 MK6. I remember trying the DCD-960 directly plugged into a power amp, with outstanding results. The plater assembly is also very sturdy and vibration resistant. You won't need an external DAC for this player, but it does have optical and coax out.
Worth hanging on to.
