PSP + PK1 + mp3 = flat & terrible.
iPod + PK1 + ALAC = low volume, less dynamic
Cowon D2 + PK1 + Lossless = Ok
NDS + PK1 + mp3 = totally a joke.

Notice that U3 is 60mw... and I get the following result:
U3 + PK1 = Volume 35
T39 + PK1 = Volume 20
U3 + e3c = Volume 20
T39 + e3c = Volume 12
U3 + PK1 = Volume 35
T39 + PK1 = Volume 20
U3 + e3c = Volume 20

Looks like a very impressive player faichiu. I wonder if they will make the screen small and make it a true portable thing like the i7.
