Hey all.
Wanted to show off my system. Not as high end as a lot here, but it sounds great.

My desktop headphone rig:  Virtue Audio Sensation with tube buffer (Bugle Boy 12AU7), K1000's recabled with A.P.S. v3.  Not shown, HE-6; both driven from speaker taps.

Modest but sounds superb.

How does that dragon statue affect the bass on the K1000?

Greatly improved the bass response! ....  no doubt down to at least 15hz!   Just what every K1000 owner needs.   Guaranteed to improve bass response and on sale for only $699!  Discount for 10 or more.

I was hoping so.  I want to tighten up the bass in my Denons, and I think a dragon statue is just what I need.

If a boutique power cord can sell for $700 or more, certainly the obvious sonic improvements made by the dragon are worth at least that much!

nice RingingEars.  is that a rebuilt ST-70?

Yep. It's a Will Vincent triode Dyna running 6L6 tubes and the original cloth lead transformers. Sounds beautiful.

RingingEars, What rack is that? (Solidsteel?)

It's a modular VTI rack I got from racks and stands. It's nice because you can pop the tops off to fill the legs with weight.

Doesn't compare to most the stuff on here.  At any rate, very happy with it. I need a new stand badly.

But of course!  How could a dragon statue not affect the sound?

PSB makes wondeful speakers.  The table your Woo 6 sits on looks just like one I picked up at Target for about $19 - those tables have a great price/performance ratio :)

Ha!  Great eye on the Target table.  I have had that darn thing forever and just recently painted it black.  I really have been extremely happy with the PSBs, I couldn't find anything else in that price range that I liked better.

I actually have three of them around, great little tables!  I have the PSB Image T6 driven by a Marantz stack (PM8004/SA8004) and really enjoy them.  I downsized from Harbeth Compact 7 speakers driven by NAIM electronics.  I won't say I didn't notice the difference, but I also appreciated the money in my bank account!  Cheers.
