Time to spend some cash on a yearly upgrade.
(Wanting a mid to high end portable amplifier).
 
I have ATH-ESW9 and UE-TF10s w/Null Audio cable.
 
Source is ipod touch 4G w/ various apps (flacplayer, sonicmaxpro, equalizer, EQu).
95% music is lossless ALAC or FLAC.
 
Music examples - radiohead, velvet underground, fugees, morcheeba, nick cave, the verve, mazzy star massive attack and various female vocals.
 
I have an Qables LOD although I am also looking at the ALO `the cricket` for something more slim lined.
 
Looking at these amps:
 
Pico slim,  (I like the reviews, but the footprint/size doesnt match the touch perfectly).
 
P51-Mustang,  (reviews of the lush mids is good, looks too chunky).
 
Headstage Arrow (seems to have a lot of features.
 
ALO The National
 
ALo the Continental. version 1-cheaper.(worried about the heat though).
 
Fostex Hp_p1, (tried it in store a few times, was ok, would rather wait for a Hp_p2, also a bit big).
 
 
Currently using Cmoy Royal style amp.

Seeings as there has been zero mention of a HP-P2, what do you hope to gain by waiting? Have you heard it may come with free ice-cream?

which one you end up getting? i am also looking for a portable amp for my TF10 and T50rp. i am thinking ALO the national may be a good match...

I bought the Fostex hp_p1.
I havent really used it with my TF-10s yet.
 
i usually use it with my ATH-ESW9 or ATH-CK10.
