Hi guys,

Quick question, received my ram din connector and am listening via the sr-71 . beautiful only word I can think of really.

A quick question though, I was lead to believe by various people that the Ipod lineout is digital effects free, is this just a case of some sort of updates or something like that?
I am not planning on using it so doesn't matter really? The information should help though.

The EQ is digital and it affects the line-out. There's really no disadvantage to this (that I can think of) so it's a plus, though it's not typical (especially in analogue world) behavior.

Its just that people keep going on about the volume control in Iriver players, It is similarly implemented digitally and not in the analog section, So to speak I believe it is pretty much a "true" line out as well.

Just clearing up some misconceptions that might form in people's minds.
