Please Review tell me about sound quality

I have the Phiaton 400s. THey are very well built and overall SQ is good. They probably have 30hrs on them now but the highs are stil harsh, bordering on shrill linked direct to a source. This can be compensated when used in conjunction with an amp that directly or indirectly 'shapes' your music a little. Lower end is mucxh better; well articulated with good instrumental separation. Hope this helps.

I just received my

Phiaton MS 300's

today and was pleasantly surprised. I've listening to them witrh the following set up
imod-ALO imod dock - Meier corda swing amp.
 
The sound quality is very good. I was a little nervous after buying these because I'm used to higher end headphones, but these step right up and do the job. I'm pleased with my purchase. I'm looking forward to their burn in.
