Has anybody had any experience with this?

I'm looking to get some decent cataloging software to keep track of ever burgeoning music collection.

Orange CD from http://www.firetongue.com looks really cool but what else should I consider before taking the plunge? Ideally I need software that will allow me to catalog the following.

CD
LP
MP3
Tape
Minidisc
8-Track
DVD (if at all possible

I think J.R Media Center 9 or 10 does all of that. I've only good exprerience with it. There's almost daily updates, and the dev are very nice and openminded (As in they listen to what ppl request)
You can check it out here:

Thanks for the heads-up there Pank2002.

I finally went for the OrangeCD software from http://www.firetongue.com All I can say is WOW! What great software this is

It allows almost unlimited cataloguing of CDs, MP3s, Tape, R2R, LPs, Singles.... You name it it will keep track of it.

To add a new CD to the database, you just need to insert the CD in your computer, and OrangeCD will download all information from Internet. You don't have to type a single word. Filling your music CD database becomes quick and easy.
The resulting database can be used for browsing, searching, printing or exporting to any of the supported formats. Now you can quickly check if you own a specific album or song, find its exact location on CD shelf, print CD changer index sheet or calculate your total collection value for insurance purposes. You can create web pages with the list of all your albums and upload them to your website. The feel and look of the web pages is defined by templates and can be customized even if you know nothing about HTML language.

I've been struggling along with an M$ Access database so far but this is a much better option and is cheap too.

Definitely recommended

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I recently read about this software on another forum and I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with it. Although it does look like a good program, it keeps track of a little more info than I actually need. I like the convenience though of just inserting a CD to add all the information. Can anyone comment on how much disk space I would need to store info for my 2500+ CD collection? Thanks in advance.

I use the Collectorz.Com music database (http://www.collectorz.com/music/) abd I have a little more than 900 CD/LP/MD cataloged. My database takes up about 1.5 M so I'd say using this one you'd require between 4.5-5 M.
