Most important question of all: capacity.
One slot, 2 slots, internal memory ?

I hope that they go for 2 slots, since people are expecting to store their whole library on a top-tier DAP.
Opus #2 was such a disappointment in that regard.

I do agree with this, and I don't know why they did it either

My whole library wouldn't come close to fitting in 2 slots.

It's a lower end model compared to the Opus #2 so I am not sure if those having the Opus #2 would want to change to this.

It seems to be using the old PCM1792A chip.

Ya, I read that after more specs came out.  I stand corrected.

Aw, was hoping for a mini-DAP from Opus (or a new/larger DAC/Amp), maybe next time.

Love my Opus #1 and am eager to hear more about Opus #3. Not sure I'm a fan of the volume wheel implementation, though...

AK Jr PTSD incoming!

Actually it has optical out :D  only 1 memory card max 200Gb and build in 64Gb :D
A plus from Opus #1 is running native DSD, not DOP like #1
but still 24 bit, not 32 bit like #2

Conclusion: next-to-useless piece of DAP, considering the features of Opus #1 and #2.
***, 64Gb + 1 slot in 2017 is just....... crap unless it is worth less than 500$.

Hi-res music with this kind of capacity:

Give us back the 2 slots of Opus #1 if you're not willing to equip DAPs with at least 256Gb...
Audiophile nonsense.

Actually with 128 build in + 128 memory card in #2, I use just up to 2/3 of them :D

Which means your library is small or you use a lossy format and no hi-res files.
Glad it works for you, but my library is over 400Gb and I only have 3 hi-res albums, so 64Gb + 1 slot is a joke, considering you get this on cheap smartphones nowadays.
Swapping cards all the time is not worth the pain, I have more interesting things to do with my time.

:)) over 4 thousands files with 4/5 are lossless FLAC, even DSD and WAV
a few is MP3 just because those music is out of date already ^^ I can't find any lossless file to replace :)
And 4k files are more than fine for portable to me!
