1. The DAC in the smartphone is completely bypassed so has zero effect to the Mojo.

2. The Mojo is immune to source jitter as all the timing comes from the Mojo.

This is more appropriate for the Mojo thread and the third post will provide all the information from the DAC designer regarding sources and jitter. It just takes a little effort to actually read it instead of taking wild guesses.

Thank you guys.

Sorry for misleading on this topic.

I have read it but my comprehension is a bit weak. From whati understand, that is the reason that dac designer exist - to design the ultimate dac circuit..

Thanks for correcting me. Am gonna go and read back again.

But 1 thing for sure. DAP sure to save phone battery.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Yes, but a DAP is a very expensive battery. I would rather charge my phone more often and save $800 but that is just me.

I'd bought it 2 weeks ago AGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH...

I hate when that happens. I can top you mate. I bought some KEF R300 speakers new from a dealer for $2199 Canadian plus 13% tax after searching for a used set. Not a week after they arrived and could only be returned for credit with a restocking fee a mint set appeared used for $1500 Canadian, and no tax! Do you feel a little better now?

Well, I'm satisfied with it even bought it for regular price because it isn't sell in Japan. (Actually it is selled, but probably fake)

Hi, Anyone used kingroot on DP-X1? any success? Need to root my device so I can install viper4android.

Hi. Please refer to the information I posted here. Getting Viper onto the DPX1 is not as straightforward as some general online articles make it seem.

managed to try out dpx1 yesterday night...overall..i am quite satisfy with the SQ from dpx1..it's quite similar to nwzx2 and i am only using the 3.5 single dac output.

is there a lot of different on SQ between the balanced and single?

and did you guys use high gain to achieve better SQ? i only realize after i done the audition and saw the gain mode was on 'High'..i didnt managed to try using normal gain yet...

Thank you so much, I've read the topic you posted. I still have 11 months warranty on my DP-X1, so afraid I might brick the unit. Better wait until next year.

They won't know you rooted it unlike Samsung devices (with Knox installed).

No pain no gain! Seriously, it's well worth the effort. I am using a Mac that's why it took me hours to do it. With a Windoze machine, 15 minutes tops! and music nirvana starts!

Good luck!

I would agree. There have been a couple of people who reported that they did mess up their units. So, I thought it would be irresponsible to not let people know its not entirely risk-free. However, I do think the risks are minimal and the gains are worth it.

Theres is some difference - better articulation, soundstage - especialy in ACG mode.

Low/high gain have no ipact for SQ - that settings mostly to low/high impedance headphones pairing - deal with sound level and helos not to burn your ears.
