ONIX Miracle - New Generation Hi-Fi Streamer

Hi,

OK. But is there an explanation as to why playback stops at the end of last track when using Artist or Album browsing but not when using folder browsing ?
Because it's different setting. As simple as that.

OK. A simple setting... Good.
This seems to confirm that it is intentionally kept to "not working as it should" on EH-3. But thisz is not the place to discuss this any further.
It should just be mentioned that :

- Onix uses Android based platform with installation of third-party apps possible ; as such it works to the user's delight ;
- other Shanling devices use Android based system but older one and do not allow to install third party software and as such suffer from a lot of problems (I will not enumerate them here...)
- other Shanling devices like the H series are not Android based and do not work with most third party software ; and do not work with Eddict either...

Just for people to know about this...

Your posts still keep confusing Shanling model and putting together things that are not correct.

- Shanling portable Android players are running either Android 7 or 10 and are open for installation of any app

- Only Shanling desktop machines EM5/EA5/EM7 have closed Android system. With EM7 being the same Android 10 as Onix XM10.

- To my knowledge, you haven't used H series model, so not sure where does your comment about Eddict Player not working with them come from.

Your posts here now have zero to do with Onix Miracle, so please, if you want to post something about Shanling models you use, do it in their dedicated threads.

OK.

I correct :
- some Shanling devices use Android base AND allow installation of third party apps ;
- some Shanling devices use closed Android base and do not allow installation of third party apps ;
- some Shanling devices do not use Android base but mostly don't work with third party apps and have to be used with Eddict that has serious and numerous limitations.

Is that more inline with what you wrote ?
We're basiaclly saying the same : you have 3 different bases.

People should choose accordingly. And in full knowledge of limitations of usage in some cases. This is just as information.

P.S. :
you're last statements is hilarious when you perfectly know as I wrote it here several times, that I currently use the EH-3 which, from your own words is in the H Line...
I am just replying to your own posts... to inform people. What should be your job.

H line includes H2, H5 and H7.

EH3 is not part of this line.

Congrats @Shanling !

I have my onix miracle for a few weeks, still exploring. As @Kiats mentioned it’s a neat, nice, tidy bedside setup, while it has the power to drive hard to drive hps, with lots of switches to play with such as gains switch for hp and gains switch for iems.. And what makes onix miracle special is the xm10 a portable streamer (small & thin in size), which you can continue listening to your local music library while on the move.

Thanks @Kiats for sharing your hints and tips! And Thanks uncle Wilson from @SingaporeJaben for arranging the unit.

Decided to give the 2022 Focal Utopia a run out with the ONIX Miracle over the past few days. Very good synergy indeed!

Hi,

Should we be surprised a 10k€ combo sounds good :wink:
It would be really a disaster if it even would sound just "average"...

But as far as I am concerned, I am done with Shanling and their lack of support and Eddict and the long absence of features :frowning2:
Waiting for the last hope device : SM1.3 :xf_cool:
Fingers crossed : it will have a recent Android version AND allow to install third party apps AND will not be too expensive :wink:

Regards.

Well, there are plenty of lemons in the market with clinical and soulless sound. And there is always a question of synergy. :)

Anyway, you can take up your unhappiness with @Shanling. :) Not sure what you expected of the Eddict Player. :wink: I think what you want is a full featured streamer for which there are plenty, eg. Eversolo does a few. Do a search and you will find the threads. Or perhaps something like Roon which I am happily using.

Good luck on your quest. :)

Hi,

Yes, I hear you... The synergy between device and headphone might not be the best.
But I would have been surprised if those devices would have sounded really poor.

I think I have already said what features should be added to Eddict and will not develop here.

Eversolo does not release full featured streamers : they do not have headphone amp :frowning2:
I do not think this is the place to discuss about the pros and cons of other devices so will not elaborate.
Enough said with : No, that 5 legged device does not seem to exist :frowning2:

Anyways, glad you're happy with the Onix.
It is indeed an interesting device, but way out of budget for my poor man pockets :frowning2:

Hence, I do not understand why you persist in airing your complaints in a thread for a product which you are obviously not interested in. Well, perhaps go explore elsewhere for that elusive complete product. It may yet exist. But not here, I fear. :)

Despite the patience of @Shanling :wink:
