How much longer do you think that the old DT 880's are going to be able to be found at online stores, (headroom, TTVJ, B&H, etc.) before the new models come out. I really prefer the look of the old 80's, but won't have the cash to buy them until... Jan. or Feb. Do you think they'll still be avalible, or should I either start looking on ebay or warming myself up to the new 80's?

I don't like the new version of DT880,but the new DT990 looks better than before.I'm still waiting for it.

I was wondering this same thing. Just when I decided on the DT-880's for my next headphone, Beyerdynamic decides to change the design.

Once I have the funds, I'll call up HeadRoom and ask if they have the old style. If not, I may try out the K701's first. Although, I think I could learn to like the new 880's with tan leather from Beyer's Manufacture.

$399 AUD which works out to about $299~ USD. I think they had about 12 left last I heard... shipping is free in australia, but I don't know about overseas.

I jumped on Meier's 880s.. I've been thinking of getting these anyway, and it'd be hard to beat that price.

And now, to wait for international shipping.
